Encuentro de los Mares (Meeting of the Seas) is an annual, international and multidisciplinary event focused on the sea and all its resources. It is held in various locations in the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz. The event aims to raise professional and social awareness of the need for the responsible use of the sea and its potential in areas such as the economy, employment, science, gastronomy and the environment. It brings together professionals and experts from various sectors involved in understanding and managing the sea: the scientific community, fishermen, fish distributors, ship owners, the processing industry and chefs.

The event is mobile and each day holds sessions in different spaces. It positions Andalusia as an international leader in the sea, with a commitment to the responsible management of marine resources and the sustainability of ecosystems.
