El Diario Vasco

Founded on 27 November 1934, El Diario Vasco is the oldest newspaper in Guipúzcoa and a model for modern, locally committed journalism. The newspaper was acquired by Grupo Correo in 1948 and is based in San Sebastián, from where it runs offices and reports across the province and the rest of the Basque Country.

The newspaper publishes a series of editions: Guipúzcoa-San Sebastián, Alto Deba, Alto Urola, Bajo Deba, Bidasoa-Baztán, Costa-Urola, Buruntzaldea, Oarsoaldea and Tolosa-Goierri. Its multimedia presence includes a local portal and the DVbus project.
